TULSA, Okla. - Jose Trevino's three-run homer in the top of the ninth propelled top-seeded Oral Roberts to a 4-1 win over No. 3 seed North Dakota State in the Summit League baseball tournament Saturday, May 26, at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Trevino, the league's Newcomer of the Year, hit a 2-1 pitch down the left-field line to score Bennett Pickar and Kevin Cho after a pair of walks from North Dakota State closer Kyle Kingsley.  It was Trevino's 13th homer of the year.

A second championship game will be needed for the first time since 1997 to determine the Summit League's automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.  Game time is 4:30 p.m.

ORU jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second when Brandon King hit a leadoff single, stole second, moved to third on a sac bunt, and scored on Pickar's double down the right-field line.

NDSU tied it in the eighth when Tim Colwell drew a one-out walk and scored on Zach Wentz's two-out chopper into center field.

ORU reliever Alec Smith (2-1) got the final out of the eighth before striking out two and walking one in the ninth.  Lars Ligouri came on to get the final out for his first save of the year.

Trevino was 3-for-5 and King finished 2-for-4 for ORU, and Colwell was 2-for-3 for NDSU.

Bison starter David Ernst went 5 1/3 innings with five hits and six walks, Jake Heck got a pair of ground ball double plays to end the sixth and seventh innings, Simon Anderson threw a perfect eighth, and Kingsley dropped to 7-4 with the loss.
