ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State's Luke Anderson was named Summit League baseball Pitcher of the Week by the league office Monday, April 30, after shutting out IPFW 6-0 last weekend.

Anderson, a senior right-hander from Savage, Minn., pitched his sixth complete game of the season and it was his first career shutout.  He allowed five singles and one walk while striking out six.

Anderson (8-1) is fifth in The Summit League with a 3.12 ERA and leads the league with eight wins.  He is only the third pitcher in NDSU history to win eight games in a season and the first since Mike Peschel did it in 2000.

It was the second Pitcher of the Week award for Anderson (Feb. 20) and the fifth for NDSU this season.  John Straka was named March 26 and April 2, and Kyle Kingsley was honored last week.

Oakland second baseman Robby Enslen was named Player of the Week after hitting .571 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored in OU's four-game sweep of Western Illinois.

North Dakota State (32-11, 9-3) is scheduled to host Minot State at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, before hosting Southern Utah (13-26, 7-4) in a four-game Summit League series beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4.
