CHARLESTON, S.C. -
Former College of Charleston pitcher David Peterson
will be returning to Charleston with the SAL Rome Braves as his club plays the Charleston RiverDogs tonight through Thursday.
Peterson is currently 1-0 with three saves and a 2.31 ERA in 11.2 innings pitched with the Braves in a bullpen role. He is most likely to see action in games on Monday and Thursday evenings.
In 2012, Peterson led the Cougars with 10 saves which ranked third in the Southern Conference. He finished with a 3.40 ERA and a record of 1-3 as the team's closer. He completed his four-year CofC career ranked in the Top 10 in school history in wins (21), strikeouts (211), saves (10) and innings pitched (291.0).
