Mortgage-Free Home To Be Awarded To A Combat Wounded Veteran Monday
OMAHA, Neb. -- In partnership with Military Warriors Support Foundation, Chevrolet will be the presenting sponsor of a 100 percent mortgage-free home, provided by Chase Bank, for one of our nation’s combat wounded heroes on Monday, November 11, 2013.
The veteran will be awarded the home during halftime of the Creighton University basketball game vs. UMKC, which tips off at 7 pm at CenturyLink Center Omaha. Monday is also Veterans Day.
Chevrolet has teamed with Military Warriors Support Foundation and Chase Bank to tell the story of and honor Specialist Kyle Foster. During halftime of the Creighton University basketball game, he, along with his wife, Brittney, will be recognized and awarded a newly renovated mortgage-free home.
Kyle Foster began his military career in 2010, when he joined the United States Army in Bellevue, Nebraska. With a desire to change his life and serve his country, Specialist Foster graduated training and was stationed in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, as part of the heavy weapons unit. A short time later, Specialist Kyle Foster was deployed to Afghanistan from March 31st to May 2nd. During his time in Afghanistan, he suffered combat related injuries and was medivaced to safety.
With incredible strength and honor, Specialist Kyle Foster is an American hero. His drive and determination on and off the battlefield encourage others to never give up.
Once Foster returned home, he married and started his family. With so much taking place in the family’s life, they are grateful for each new day they are given. In the future, the couple plans on finishing school and finding careers that help support their growing family.
After three years of faithful service to the United States Army, Kyle Foster is thankful for his health, life, and family.
