Women' Tennis Loses in MAC Action 6-1 to BGSU

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team dropped its Mid-American Conference match Saturday afternoon by a score of 6-1 to Bowling Green at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.

With the loss Ball State drops to 5-13 overall and 0-6 in MAC play.  The Cardinals fell behind early to the Falcons after losing the doubles point.  The closest match was on court two where the Ball State twosome of Sarah Hebble and Paola Rodriguez fell 8-5 to Katie Grubb and Maddy Eccleston.

Ball State lost five of its six matches in straight sets during singles play.   Hebble took down Grubb 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles to be the lone victory for the Cardinals.

The Ball State women's tennis team continues conference play when it hosts Northern Illinois Saturday at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.  The match will begin at 1 p.m.
