MIAMI (May 8, 2012) - The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced Monday evening game times for its football contests to be televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU, including two national television appearances for the FIU Panthers.
Selected for ESPNU is FIU's Thursday Oct. 4 game versus reigning Sun Belt Champion Arkansas State at 7:30 p.m., and the regular season road finale at Florida Atlantic on Friday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.
Additional FIU games can be selected for television as the Sun Belt completes its offseason scheduling with its broadcast partners.
Coming off an appearance in the 2011 Beef O'Brady's Bowl and the school's most successful season, FIU once again has an exciting six-game home schedule in 2012, including non-conference games vs. BIG EAST Co-Champion Louisville and Akron, plus Sun Belt schools Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, WKU and ULM.
FIU Football season tickets go on sale June 1, and start at just $42. Single-game tickets to FIU's home schedule at Alfonso Field at FIU Stadium will go on sale July 1. For more information or to place your order, please visit our website at www.FIUSports.com or call 305-FIU-GAME (305-348-4263).
