MIAMI (May 6, 2012) - The FIU baseball team (28-20, 13-11 Sun Belt) fell to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 13-3 in seven innings Sunday afternoon at the FIU Baseball Stadium.

Julius Gaines went 2-for-3 with two RBI while Adam Kirsch was 1-for-3 with an RBI as well.

After the Blue Raiders (26-23, 12-12 SBC) took a 5-0 advantage after scoring one in the third and four in the fourth, the Panthers came alive in the bottom half of the fourth when Adam Kirsch broke up Middle Tennessee's no-hitter and shutout with an RBI double. With the bases loaded and two down, freshman Julius Gaines came through in the clutch with a two-RBI single and chased starter Jonathan Sisco from the game.

The Blue Raiders scored eight runs in the sixth inning to take a 13-3 lead.
