HANOVER, N.H. — Back in February, the Dartmouth volleyball team and head coach Erin Lindsey announced three early decision recruits for the Class of 2016, and on Monday, the program added three more players to compete for the Big Green in the fall. Two of the three players are incoming freshmen, while the other is a transfer from Williams.

Kayden Cook
Southlake Carroll High School/Dallas, Texas
Texas Advantage Volleyball Club

Cook was a three-year starter on the Southlake Carroll's volleyball team. In her sophomore season, she was honorable mention all-district, second-team all-district her junior year and first-team all-district her senior season. She played for the Texas Advantage Volleyball Club for five years. Cook participated in the Junior Olympics in 2008, 2009 and 2011. She was selected for the all-tournament team at the 2009 Junior Olympics. Cook earned the Academic All-District Award from 2009-2011, and received the Academic All-State Award in 2011.

Quote from coach Lindsey
"Kayden is an experienced setter and an exceptional student. She has played on championship teams at both the high school and club level and knows what it takes to win. The Dallas metro area has arguably the best junior volleyball teams in the country right now and the experience Kayden has at this level will help us tremendously in the gym. Although she is not the tallest setter, her athleticism and strong ability to find her hitters give her the tools she needs to run an effective offense. We are so excited to have Kayden join Alissa Santa Maria (Yorba Linda, Calif.) to add depth to our setting position."

Katie Jarrett
Orange High School/Cleveland, Ohio
Maverick A.C.E. Volleyball Club
Middle Blocker

Jarrett was a four-year starter for Orange High School in volleyball. She also earned varsity letters in basketball and track. She was a three-year captain of the volleyball team. Jarrett was a member of the Renaissance Cleveland Volleyball Club from 2007-09 and the Maverick A.C.E. Volleyball Club from 2010-12. She earned four all-conference honors in volleyball; including first-team honors her junior and senior seasons. In her junior season, she was second-team All-District II and the team MVP. In her senior season, she was second-team All-District II, played in the district All-Star game and was the team MVP. Jarrett made the Chagrin Valley Conference Senior All-Academic Team in 2011.

Quote from coach Lindsey
"Katie is another athlete who will add much needed depth to our middle blocker position. She is a decorated high school player that has the size and athleticism to be a blocking force in the Ivy League. Katie has gotten some experience this season playing on the right side as well, which shows her versatility. Katie was a three-sport athlete in high school, and we are really excited to see her continued development as a volleyball player. I am so pleased to add Katie to our program as she has not only the athleticism, but the character, academic achievement and enthusiasm for Dartmouth we look for in our student-athletes."

Holly Harper
St. Stephen's Episcopal High School/Austin, Texas
Williams College

Harper was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball at St. Stephen's Episcopal School. She also played six years on the Austin Juniors Mizuno Club team. At St. Stephen's Episcopal, she was a captain in 2009 and 2010. Harper was All-Southwest Preparatory Conference in 2009 and 2010. Her team was the 2010 Southwest Preparatory Conference Champion. She was a Honor Roll all four years and a National Merit Scholar. Harper played in 57 sets for Williams last season. She totaled 111 digs and had 18 service aces.

Quote from coach Lindsey
"We are so excited to have Holly joining us from Williams. She will bring us more depth in the highly contested Libero position since the departure of Amber Bryant '12 (Dartmouth all time digs leader and '11 captain). Having more ball control is going to make us a much more solid contender for the league title and Holly brings that. Her experience winning a high school championship and playing at the nationally regarded Austin Junior volleyball club will definitely add to the competitive spirit in the gym."

Listed below are the three early decision recruits. The full release on these players can be found here.
