PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia’s dominant showing in the women’s 5,000m run highlighted some impressive performances for the Lions track & field teams at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Memorial Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Weaver Stadium.
The junior trio of Emily Lanois, Caroline McDonough and Clare Buck ran a great race in the women’s 5,000m Run Elite. Lanois took fourth place with a time of 16:34.63 and McDonough (16:36.47, fifth) and Buck (16:37.30) were in the group right behind her.
Senior Lucie Cincinatis was strong in the 100m hurdles, taking sixth place with a time of 14.23.
In the women’s high jump, sophomore Tara Richmond cleared 1.70m to take sixth place.
On the men’s side, junior Mike Murphy took eighth in the 5,000m Run Elite with a time of 14:07.00.
