Joe Jamison

Joe Jamison is in his 10th season as an assistant coach at Princeton University. He is also the coach for a local club, PAWS Elite Wrestling Club, and he is a USA Wrestling certified coach. He is assisting head coach Chris Ayres in rebuilding the historic Princeton wrestling program.

Prior to working at Princeton, he was the head coach at Lawrence Middle School in Lawrenceville, N.J. for two seasons, in which his team won a championship in his first season. 

Before he began his coaching career, Jamison competed at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He compiled a record of 32-20 in two varsity seasons, and he missed his other two seasons due to injury.  Jamison graduated from King’s in 2001 with degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and was a member of the 2000 Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team. 

A native of Churchville, Pa., Jamison wrestled at Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Pa. Over three varsity seasons, he compiled a record of 75-35, including a 34-6 campaign in 1997. Jamison was a two-time Philadelphia Catholic League All-Catholic Selection and a National Prep School All-American.

Jamison is an elementary teacher in Lawrenceville, N.J., and recently earned a master’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Integrating Technology into the Curriculum. He currently resides in Holland, Pa., with his wife, Brooke, and son Henry.
