Steve Ewen, The Province (8/16/12)

As Kimberly Newell cannonballs into the women’s hockey rivalry between Canada and the U.S. this week, she’ll get to preview her new coach at the same time.

The Burnaby goaltender is part of the U-18 national side that’s taking on the Americans in a three-game series in Blaine, Minn.

The first contest was Thursday, with the series continuing tonight and Sunday.
