Megan Au joined the Columbia staff in August 2011 as the Assistant Director of Compliance. In December 2015, Au was promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Compliance after serving as the Director of Compliance for sports at the Baker Athletics Complex since the start of the 2015-16 academic year.
Prior to joining Columbia, was a legal extern in the athletics department at Washington & Lee University, from which she graduated in 2011 with her juris doctorate. In her role as a legal extern, Au researched and drafted Washington & Lee's Division III institutional self-study guide, assisted in general administrative duties and was the NCAA Women's Lacrosse and NCAA Men's Tennis Championship tournament coordinator.
Au earned her undergraduate degree at Tulane, where she worked in the athletics program under the Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator during her senior year. In that role, she attended athletic administrative meetings and examined compliance issues relating to student-athlete well-being.
Au played Division I soccer at Tulane before graduating in 2008 and was a member of the Sports Law Society at Washington & Lee.
