PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Olivia Galati • Hofstra

West Babylon, N.Y./St. John's the Baptist, Jr., Pitcher

Galati received CAA Player of the Week for the second straight week after helping the Pride to a 4-0 week, including a 2-0 mark in CAA play. She pitched in all four games going 2-0 with a save. Galati hit .429 on the week, while driving in more runs than she gave up in the circle (7 RBI/4 runs given up). She recorded two home runs, seven RBI, four runs scored and six hits.  


PITCHER OF THE WEEK:

Heather Kiefer • James Madison

Potomac Falls, Va./Potomac Falls, Fr., Pitcher

Kiefer collected CAA Pitcher of the Week after helping the Dukes to a 3-0 series sweep of UNCW last week and finishing 3-2. The rookie pitcher posted a 2-1 record from the circle to go along with a 0.37 ERA. Kiefer tossed three consecutive games and limited her opponents to just one earned run in 19 innings pitched.  She finished the week with 11 strikeouts against just four walks.


ROOKIES OF THE WEEK:

Callie Alford • Georgia State

Conyers, Ga./Heritage, Fr., Catcher/Utility


Alford received CAA Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Panthers to a 3-0 series sweep of Towson in conference play. The freshman hit a pair of three run homers on her way to compiling eight RBI on the weekend. With three hits in the second contest with the Tigers, Alford came only a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. She hit .556 on the week to go along with a 1.333 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage.

Morgan Heath • James Madison

Yorktown, Va./Grafton, Fr., Outfielder


Heath earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors after hitting .438 for the week, including .500 in CAA action. She helped lead the Dukes to a 3-2 record last week. Heath went 7-for-16 with three doubles, five runs scored, two RBI and three steals. The rookie his safely in all five contests to extend her hitting streak to 11 games.
