MENDOZA, Argentina – Former Duke field hockey standout Stefanie Fee and the U.S. women’s national team will play for the Pan American Cup gold medal after dispatching Canada by a 4-0 score Thursday, Sept. 26 in the tournament semifinals.

Team USA broke a 0-0 tie at halftime to tally four second-half goals en route to the semifinal win. Fee and the defensive unit collected their second shutout of the tournament as the squad also held Mexico scoreless in the final game of pool play Sept. 21.

The gold medal match featuring Team USA and host country Argentina will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. The winner of the 2013 Pan American Cup will receive automatic qualification to the 2014 World Cup, which will be held in The Hague, Netherlands.
