DURHAM, N.C.-In his six seasons as the Duke men's lacrosse head coach, John Danowski has mentored 10 different USILA Scholar All-Americans, the most of any Division I program in that time span. Among these honorees are three first team All-Americans, a national defenseman of the year award winner, and a trio of Duke record holders.

Tony McDevitt, Nick O'Hara, Brad Ross, Ryan McFadyen, Parker McKee, Max Quinzani, Zach Howell, Tom Montelli, CJ Costabile and Robert Rotanz all were honored their senior seasons for excellence in the classroom and on the lacrosse field.

In addition to the Scholar All-American honors, this group of 10 players accumulated 19 All-America awards, nine All-ACC honors. O'Hara, a Scholar All-American in 2007, also was selected as the USILA National Defenseman of the Year during his time with the Blue Devils, while Costabile captured the USILA National Midfielder of the Year.

Quinzani, in addition to earning the USILA recognition also became Duke's first CoSIDA Academic All-America first team selection. In 2012, Rotanz had a breakout year, capturing first team All-America recognition after setting the Duke single season record for goals by a midfielder.

Stay tuned tomorrow as the countdown continues until the first faceoff Feb. 9 at Koskinen Stadium versus Denver at 12 p.m.
