WMU Golf Resumes Spring at IU Invitational
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Broncos look to improve on their sixth place finish a season ago, competing in the last event before the season-ending Mid-American Conference Championships.
THE FIELD: Ball State, Bradley, Butler, Eastern Michigan, Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana, IUPUI, Kansas State, Marshall, Missouri State, Toledo, UMKC, Western Michigan, Valparaiso
THE COURSE: This year's event will take place at the IU Golf Course. It will play to a distance of 6,142 yards and a par of 72.
THE FORMAT: This 54-hole tournament will be played over two days with 36 holes played on day one (April 14) and the final 18 played on Sunday (April 15). Five golfers will compete with the four lowest contributing to the team score. Both days' play begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Play on Saturday will continue until 36 holes are completed.
LAST YEAR'S EVENT: WMU finished alone in sixth place out of a 15-team field. Kaylee Imel was the Broncos' low scorer with a 36-hole score of 156 (76-80).
