DURHAM, N.C. - Senior outfielder Anthony D'Alessandro has earned the Duke baseball team's inaugural Omaha Award head coach Chris Pollard announced. Based on 10 strength and conditioning exercises, the award recognizes the Blue Devil who excelled in the weight room during the offseason.

D'Alessandro and the Blue Devils begin the 2014 campaign Friday, Feb. 14, welcoming Binghamton in the first of three home games at Jack Coombs Field. The Blue Devils and the Bearcats get underway at 6 p.m., before meeting Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
