COMPTON, Calif. – Sixty players – including Duke RHP Drew Van Orden – are set to represent the eight California Collegiate League (CCL) teams in the 2013 all-star game Wednesday. Van Orden and the CCL North face off against the CCL South at the MLB Urban Youth Academy at 7 p.m. (PT). Prior to the game, the full roster of players will also participate in a pregame workout for scouts, beginning at 2 p.m. (PT).
Van Orden is 5-0 with a sterling 0.94 ERA in seven appearances with the Santa Barbara Foresters. He ranks fourth in the league in ERA and leads all CCL pitchers with 49 strikeouts.
FOX Sports West will broadcast the CCL All-Star game locally as well as nationally across six FOX Sports Regional Networks including Fox Sports Arizona, FOX Sports Detroit, FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports South, FOX Sports San Diego (delay) and FOX College Sports Pacific.
The 2013 CCL All-Star Game will re-air as follows:
Thursday July 18 at 10 a.m. (Prime Ticket), 1 p.m. (FSW) and 7 p.m. (Prime Ticket)
Saturday, July 20 at 2 p.m. (FSW)
Tuesday, July 23 at 12 p.m. (Prime Ticket)
Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. (Prime Ticket) and 2 p.m. (FSW)
