Burke was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas by the Mets on June 15, where he made five appearances in relief for the 51s. His best outing for Las Vegas came on June 30 against Tacoma, where Burke allowed no hits while striking out one in 1.1 innings pitched. He was recalled by the Mets on July 5, where he has since appeared in three contests. In a 4-3 Mets win in 16 innings over San Francisco, Burke came out of the bullpen to pitch two strong innings in relief, yielding no runs and four hits while striking out two batters. The Mets are in fourth place in the National League East with a 40-48 ledger, sitting 10.5 games back of Atlanta.

Freiman continues to be impressive in his rookie season with the A’s organization. In three games played in the month of July, Freiman is 3-for-14 at the plate, including a 2-for-4 performance in an 8-7 victory over the Chicago Cubs on July 2. Freiman has been especially good for the A’s this season in his home park, where he is batting .351 (20-for-57) and 11 RBI. Among American League rookies, Freiman ranks fifth in batting average (.267), seventh in RBI (17) and is third in fewest strikeouts (19).  The A’s sit atop the AL West standings, 0.5 games up on the Texas Rangers. As a Rule V pickup, Freiman must remain on the A’s active roster for the entire season or get sent back to the San Diego Padres.

Gallagher is enjoying his best season at the Triple-A level, as he is hitting .269 (57-for-212) on the season. He has hits in six of his last 10 contests. In a July 4 contest, Gallagher walked three times and scored two runs in the contest. With runners on base, Gallagher is batting .327 (32-for-98), including 24 of his 26 RBI on the season. Gallagher, has played all three outfield positions this season, as well as first base. In the outfield, Gallagher owns a .984 fielding percentage in 60 games played.

Rated by Baseball America as having the best strike zone judgment in the Red Sox organization entering the 2012 season, Hassan has walked 11 times on the Triple-A level and 21 times in the 30 games he has played on the season. He is listed on Boston’s 40-man roster.

Kremer became Duke’s 13th active player in professional baseball when he signed with the Rockford Aviators of the Frontier League earlier this season. He has enjoyed a strong start to his first professional career, as he is second on the squad with a .375 (24-for-64) average. He has hits in eight of his last ten games, including his last two.  In a July 4 victory over Evansville, Kremer was 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and three runs scored. He belted his first professional home run July 9 in a 9-8 loss to Schaumburg. Rockford is 15-31 and 14.5 games back of Gateway in the West Division standings.

In a July 2 loss against New Britian, Stroman allowed three runs over 6.2 innings, but struck out a season-high 13 batters. In the month of June, Stroman posted a 1.38 ERA and with 24 strikeouts.
