Burke made another strong appearance in a Mets win over Minnesota, pitching one inning, striking out one batter and not allowing a hit. This season marks Burke’s second in the MLB, as he appeared in 48 games for the Padres in 2009.

Freiman has enjoyed a strong start to his season for the Athletics, appearing in 13 games in his first season in the big leagues. In his big league debut against the Mariners, Freiman was 2-for-3 at the plate and recorded his first RBI of the season on a single. Freiman hit the first home run of his big league career April 15 against the Astros. The three-run shot to left field propelled the A’s to the win. Freiman hit his first double of the 2013 campaign on a line drive to center field against the Orioles on April 26. Oakland sits in second place in the AL West, 0.5 games behind the Rangers in first.
