DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke baseball team continued its work with local Little League programs this past weekend, holding a clinic for young players in conjunction with the Hillsborough Youth Athletic Association (HYAA) Sunday, Nov. 18.

Assistant coach Mark Hayes, along with HYAA president Jessica Adams, spearheaded the effort to organize the clinic, which featured over 80 Little Leaguers.

"We are so fortunate here at Duke," said Hayes, "and this was a great opportunity to get involved and give back to the local community. Our players enjoy working with the Little Leaguers and they really embraced the opportunity to make an impact on these young players' lives."

The clinic kicked off Sunday at the Collins and Exchange Fields, home of the HYAA. The Blue Devil players manned a variety of stations which focused on specific baseball skills and drills. Each Little Leaguer had the opportunity to rotate to each station while approximately 20 Little League coaches were in attendance to support the HYAA players.

Sunday marked the second time in the past week Duke baseball held a clinic focused on the local Little League community. The Blue Devils hosted a coaches clinic this past Wednesday at Jack Coombs Field, which featured 69 Little  League coaches in attendance.
