Cockrell Hoping to Ease Transition of Young DBs

DURHAM -- A new feature to in 2013 is the Training Camp Insider, hosted by Hall of Fame radio announcer Bob Harris.  The audio segments will provide Duke fans with an in-depth look at the program during preseason practice.

Today's edition features All-American cornerback Ross Cockrell. The preseason first-team All-ACC pick is looking forward to working with what he calls one of the most talented incoming recruiting classes he's seen in his five years at Duke.

The Voice of the Blue Devils for the past 37 seasons, Harris enters the 2013 season having called 419 consecutive football games.  He is a three-time North Carolina Broadcaster of the Year honoree, having received the award in 1988, 1991 and 2011.

Duke opens the season on Saturday, August 31, against N.C. Central in Wallace Wade Stadium. Kickoff is at 4 p.m., and tickets are available at or by calling (919) 681-BLUE.
