DURHAM, N.C. – Entering the weekend on a four-match win streak, the 13th-ranked Blue Devils (14-5, 6-1 ACC) return home to host ACC opponents Clemson and Georgia Tech at Ambler Tennis Stadium.

Clemson Series History
Duke and Clemson will square off for the 69th time in program history Friday afternoon in Durham … The Blue Devils lead the series, 40-28, and have won each of the past six meetings … Duke is 18-11 all-time when facing Clemson at home.

Last Time We Met
The Blue Devils captured six straight-set victories in singles and captured the doubles point to earn a 7-0 sweep over the Tigers Apr. 5, 2013 at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in Clemson, S.C. … Head coach Ramsey Smith registered the 100th win of his head coaching career with the victory.

Scouting the Tigers
Clemson is listed 20th in the latest ITA Division I team rankings and owns a an 18-5 overall record and a 5-3 mark in ACC play entering Friday’s match ... The Tigers are coming off of a narrow 4-3 loss to Virginia and a 5-2 victory over Virginia Tech last weekend ... Hunter Harrington, the 56th-ranked player in the ITA singles poll, leads the squad with a 13-7 ledger at the top spot in the lineup ... No. 99 Dominique Maden is 13-3 at the No. 2 position ... Harrington and Maden also form the 31st-ranked doubles pair in the country and are 16-1 this season in dual match play.

Georgia Tech Series History

Saba Approaching 100-Win Mark
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native Fred Saba is nearing the 100-win milestone in singles in his fourth year with the program … He owns a career record of 98-46 in singles contests and is 86-48 in doubles play … Saba has won at least 26 singles matches in each of his previous three seasons ... He excelled during the Blue Devils’ road trip to Florida last weekend, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles play ... Saba teamed with junior Raphael Hemmeler to earn an 8-0 victory over 41st-ranked Blake Davis and Dominic Cotrone of Florida State, guiding Duke to a 5-2 win.

Devilish in Doubles
As a team, Duke has compiled a 13-3 ledger in ACC doubles play for a .812 winning percentage ... The Blue Devils have claimed the doubles point five times in conference matches and in each of the past three contests ... Playing primarily at the No. 1 position, the 61st-ranked duo of senior Fred Saba and junior Raphael Hemmeler has gone 5-1 in league doubles action.

“We’re taking it one match at a time,” said head coach Ramsey Smith. “We’ve done a good job of doing that these last few weeks. These are important matches – it all counts for the ACC standings. We’re in a good position now. These next two weekends are obviously really big for us.”
