Future Blue Devils Vying for Academy Title

DURHAM - N.C. - Four future Duke Blue Devils will compete in the 2013-14 US Soccer Development Academy Finals Week beginning Thursday, July 17 at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, California. Finals Week features the final four remaining teams from the USSDA Academy Playoffs.

​Brian White and Joe Ohaus of the Players Development Academy defeated Shattuck-Saint Mary's Soccer Academy 3-1 in the quarterfinal round. White contributed one goal to the PDA victory, advancing them to the semifinal round against FC Dallas.

PDA currently owns a 20-3-3 overall record.

Jeremy Ebobisse and Carter Manly members of Bethesda-Olney, remained scoreless at the end of regulation time during their quarterfinal match against Chivas USA. However, the number one team pulled away with the victory after scoring in the 94th and 105th minute. Bethesda-Olney will face Montreal Impact FC at 10 p.m. (EST) in the semifinals.

Bethesda-Olney leads the Academy with a 24-2-0 overall record.​
