The Setauket, N.Y., native is also second in the conference and tied for 13th nationally in assists (18), and comes in at eighth in the ACC and is tied for 32nd in the NCAA in goals (22) ... She has posted three hat tricks and recorded five multi-assist games this spring, in addition to matching or setting new career highs in every category.

Through nine games, Duke leads its opponents in draw controls by a 129-92 margin ... Redshirt junior Maddie Salamone leads the squad with 31 draw controls this spring for an average of 3.44 per game, which ranks her fourth in the ACC ... Smesko has started every contest at attack and has tallied 18 points on 11 goals and seven assists, with the seven helpers ranking her second on the squad ... Acton has recorded 10 points (8g, 2a) to go with seven draw controls, and owns the team’s second-highest shooting percentage at .667 ... Duryea made her first appearance in between the pipes in the second half against Maryland and has started the four games since then ... Duryea has compiled a .540 save percentage, which ranks her second in the ACC ... The native of Beverly, Mass., also owns an 8.89 goals against average and posted a season-high 12 saves in a win over Vanderbilt (Feb. 2).
Attack Duo Moving Up Career Lists
Senior Makenzie Hommel and sophomore Kerrin Maurer have both started the 2013 season in strong fashion ... Hommel has registered a team-high 23 goals to go with five assists for a total of 28 points, while Maurer owns 22 goals and leads the team in assists (18) and points (40) ... Hommel needs just 10 more points and Maurer 11 to reach the 100-point mark for their careers ... Maurer is also approaching the 50-assist milestone with 42 in just her second season.
