Duke Travels to Jacksonville, Fla. to Face Dolphins for First Time
Sixth-ranked Duke will face Jacksonville for the first time in program history Wednesday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m. in Jacksonville, Fla. ... The Blue Devils remained No. 6 in this week's  IWLCA Coaches Poll and are 5-0 this season against non-conference foes ...  Jacksonville enters the mid-week matchup with a 5-2 overall ledger ... In their last outing, the Dolphins defeated William & Mary, 20-14, in Jacksonville on March 8.

Duke vs. the Atlantic Sun
The game against Jacksonville also marks the Blue Devils' first meeting with a current Atlantic Sun Conference member.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Duke edged then-No. 11 Georgetown, 11-10, on the road in its last outing on March 9 ... Freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea made a save on a Georgetown free position attempt with five seconds left in regulation to preserve the win and help the Blue Devils improve to 6-1 on the spring ... Jacksonville enters the weekend with a record of 5-2 after topping William & Mary, 20-14, on March 8 ... Taylor McCord leads the Dolphins with 24 points on 14 goals and 10 assists and scored five goals to pace the squad in the win over the Tribe ... Amanda Hurley leads Jacksonville with 17 goals on the year while Brit Orashen has recorded a team-high 19 draw controls ... Orashen and Morgan Derner are in double digits in the caused turnover column to lead the Dolphins' defense ... In goal, Karli Tobin has made 54 saves and sports a 9.81 goals against average and a .462 save percentage.

Duryea made 11 stops against the Hoyas, including a save on a free position attempt with five seconds remaining which preserved the victory for Duke ... The Beverly, Mass., native has posted double-digit saves in each of her two starts in goal and her 10.33 saves per game currently leads all goalkeepers in the ACC ... Duryea also ranks second in the conference in save percentage with a .525 clip.

Blue Devils Among NCAA Leaders
Sophomore Kerrin Maurer ranks fifth in the nation with 35 points through seven games this season ... Maurer also ranks eighth nationally in total assists (17) in the March 10 edition of the NCAA's Division I statistics ... Senior Makenzie Hommel is tied for 22nd in the goals category with 18 ... Senior goalkeeper Kaitlin Gaiss is tied for 15th in the country in goals against average at 8.00 in five outings this season.

Maurer One of ACC's Top Scorers
Sophomore Kerrin Maurer ranks second in the ACC with 35 points this season for an average of 5.00 per contest ... Maurer also ranks second in the league in assists (17) and assists per game (2.43) ... Senior Makenzie Hommel is tied for fourth in scoring with 18 goals on the spring ... Classmate Brigid Smith tops the conference stats with six free position goals (0.86 fpg/g) ... Freshman Kelsey Duryea leads the league in saves per game average (10.33) in three appearances in goal this season and ranks second in save percentage (.525) ... Junior Taylor Virden is the conference leader in ground balls per game with 18 on the year (2.57 gb/g), sophomore Gabby Moise ranks third in caused turnovers per game (1.43)  and redshirt junior Maddie Salamone comes in at third in the ACC with an average of 3.43 draw controls per contest.

Quick on the Draw
After six games, Duke leads its opponents in draw controls by a 105-77 margin ... Redshirt junior Maddie Salamone leads the squad with 24 draw controls this spring and recorded a career-high nine in the Blue Devils' season opener against Virginia Tech on Feb. 8 ... Junior Taylor Virden (22), sophomore Taylor Trimble (17) and junior Maddy Morrissey (10) are also in double digits in the draw controls category.

Attack Duo Moving Up Career Lists
Senior Makenzie Hommel and sophomore Kerrin Maurer have both started the 2013 season in strong fashion ... Maurer and Hommel lead the team with 18 goals each while Maurer has logged a team-high 17 assists and 35 points through the first seven games ... Hommel ranks second on the squad in points with 23 ... Hommel needs just 15 points and Maurer 16 to reach the 100-point mark for their careers ... Maurer is also approaching the 50-assist milestone with 41 in just her second season.
