LEMONT, Ill. -- Incoming freshman women's golfer Allison Walsh (Mt. Propect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) won the Illinois Junior Golf Association Senior Girl's Division title at the Playing Member Sizzler at the par-72 Cog Hill Golf & Country Club Tuesday in addition to turning in a strong performance at last week's Country Financial Youth Classic.

Walsh birdied three of the final four holes and shot an even-par 72 at Cog Hill Tuesday to claim the IJGA Senior Girl's title by one stroke over Dorothy Feng of Rolling Meadows, Ill., and was three shots better than third-place finisher Renee Solberg of Wheaton, Ill.

Last week, Walsh finished sixth in the college division at the Country Financial Youth Classic.  Playing in the last group on the final day after an opening-round 75 at the Weibring Golf Course in Normal, Ill., Walsh finished sixth in the field with a two-round total of 156 to edge Bradley junior and seventh-place finisher Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) by one shot.  Walsh finished four shots out of the top four and was six shots back of third-place.

Walsh is scheduled to play in an American Junior Golf Association tournament August 6-9 at the Fox Hill Club in Longmont, Colo.
