Hempstead, NY – After exploding for 23 goals in a dominating 23-7 win over George Mason on Sunday, the Hofstra Women’s Lacrosse team will travel to Towson on Friday to continue Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play and try to keep its offense flowing.

Hofstra (3-9, 2-1 CAA) will also face Delaware this week, hosting the Blue Hens on Sunday to begin a three-game home stand to end the regular season.

Friday’s game at Towson will begin at 7 p.m., while Sunday’s home tilt with Delaware starts at 1 p.m.  Live video and statistics of both games are available at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is coming off one of the best offensive games in program history.  The 23 goals scored against George Mason tied the program record for goals in a game, set back on march 15, 1996 in a 23-5 season-opening win over Davidson.  Five different players had hat tricks for the Pride, with freshman midfielder Brittain Altomare leading the way with seven points on three goals and four assists.  For her efforts last week, Altomare earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors, her first such accolade since joining the Pride.

The Pride head into the final four games of the conference slate currently tied for third in the CAA standings with Delaware.  This is an important week for Hofstra as Towson is tied with James Madison for first at 3-0.  Hofstra will close the regular season next weekend when it hosts Old Dominion and William & Mary.
