MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's women's soccer team defeated Hawaii 1-0 on an own-goal in the 56th minute. Kate Brenot recorded her first-career 90 minute shutout as the Gaels improved to 4-1-1 while Hawaii dropped to 0-6.

During the own-goal sequence, Christina Tognetti and Vicki Shimkus passed the ball downfield. Kaytlyn Steele got the ball near the left box and kicked a hard cross, hitting the Hawaii defender in the knee and the ball went into the net.
