MORAGA, Calif. - Women's soccer head coach Kai Edwards announced the signings of six student-athletes to the Saint Mary's women's soccer program.

Caroline Beaulne from Longueuil, Quebec, Flannery Davis from Palisade, Colo., Khayla Jones from Pinole, Calif., Casidee Lynch from Citrus Heights, Calif., Celina Minissian from Pasadena, Calif. and Noria Mitchell from Dublin, Calif. have earned admission into Saint Mary's College and will be members of the soccer program this fall.

"When we started with this class, we had a couple of very specific traits we were looking for and we believe we obtained that," said Edwards. "We wanted top local talent that fit what we are doing at SMC... we wanted players that can excel at a WCC standard of excellence and soccer players that had very good athleticism. This is a quality group of dedicated and competitive individuals. We found all of these traits in our 2012 class."

The Gaels lose just two seniors to graduation and return the core of the team that won 10 games in 2011. The 10 games was the most by an SMC team in 10 years.

"The current roster has set a tone this spring that is very exciting," said Edwards. "It is the highest level we have had in our three years here. We believe with the level of talent in the current roster combined with this incoming class, that we are in position to compete for a top-4 spot in Conference next fall... which, in WCC terms, means we will be in a position for a potential NCAA berth."
