As a Senior (2013): Finished SMC career as the all-time saves leader in school history with 18 saves… recorded a team-high seven saves in 2013 with two victories… tossed 39 innings of relief, allowing 45 hits and 22 earned runs… he walked 11 and struck out 25… did not allow an earned run in 12 of his appearances… tossed a season-high five scoreless frames in a key victory over Pepperdine, earning the victory ... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll for academic excellence.
As a junior (2012): Appeared in 23 games making one start...the 23 appearances is tied for second most in a single season at SMC...he finished the year with a perfect 4-0 record and a 2.44 ERA in 48.0 innings pitched...he allowed just 42 hits and 12 walks while striking out 36...tallied seven saves on the year which is second most in a single season at SMC...did not allow an earned run in 15 of his 23 appearances...had a 3.0 K/BB ratio which was second on the team...in WCC action he went 1-0 with five saves and a team-leading 2.35 ERA...in 23 innings pitched he allowed just six earned runs with four walks to 14 strike outs...the five saves in WCC play was tied for third in the league...went 2-0 at the Coca-Cola College Baseball Classic earning wins over Oregon State on 3/1 and No. 11 Arizona State on 3/4...against the Beavers he went 2.0 innings, scattering one hit, no runs with three strike outs...against the Sun Devils he threw a career-high 5.2 innings, scattering two hits, five walks and struck out a sseason-high four batters...struck out four in 2.2 innings, earneing his sixth save against Gonzaga on 5/4...needed just eight pitches to close out the game against Portland on 5/13 for his seventh save of the season.
Summer League (2011): Summer League (2011): Played for the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripkin League with teammates Martin Agosta and Brenden Kalfus...his team the Big Train was named the No. 1 College Summer Ball team according to PerfectGame.org...made nine appearances, starting three games for the Big Train...in 25.2 innings pitched he went 2-1 with a 4.21 ERA...he struck out 23 with a save.
As a sophomore (2011): One of the most reliable arms out of the bullpen for the Gaels in 2011...was second on the team with a 2.64 ERA in 30.2 innings pitched...made 21 appearances for the Gaels which was second most on the team...boasted a perfect 3-0 record on the year with a team-leading four saves...held opponents to a minuscule .163 batting average with runners on base...was second on the team with a 8.80 k/9 ratio and led the Gaels with an impressive 4.3 k/bb ratio...in WCC action he led the Gaels with a 1.50 ERA...earning two saves in 6.0 innings pitched...earned his first collegiate save throwing 1.1 scoreless innings against UC Riverside on 3/19...earned his first win of the year throwing two scoreless innings in the 9-3 win over Nevada on 3/22.
As a freshman (2010): Made 16 appearances on the mound, starting once as a freshman...finished the season with a 1-0 record with a 7.33 earned run average...allowed 38 hits in 27.0 innings pitched, with 24 runs (22 earned)...had 18 strikeouts and allowed just two walks...made his only start of the season on Mar. 22 against UC Riverside, threw 2.1 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with one strikeout...his only win of the season came in a relief outing against Sacramento State on Mar. 23, when he threw 1.0 innings, allowing one hit with one strike out in a 5-4 Saint Mary's win....had a season-high five strikeouts against UC Davis on May 11...threw a season-high 4.0 innings against UC Davis (5/11) and Gonzaga (5/16).
High School: A right-handed pitcher from Clayton, CA, he prepped at De La Salle High School...was a major contributor to a team that finished the season ranked 18th in California, and was no stranger in the Northern California Sectional Championship game..as a sophomore, he was part of the championship team, while in 2009, the East Bay Athletic League Champions were runner-ups...in 2009, he had seven wins in 14 appearances, tied for first in the EBAL, and his 91 strikeouts, ranking him second in the league...also sported a 1.56 ERA and opponents only hit .222 against him...received a number of postseason accolades, as he was a First Team All-East Bay Athletic League selection, won the Cy Young Award for De La Salle, and the Contra Costa Times chose him for their All-Star team and named him one of the top 100 athletes in all of Contra Costa County for 2008-09.
