In doubles play, the Trojans won a quick 8-0 match on court three before claiming a pair of 8-4 wins on the other two courts to earn the first point of the day.
USC proved to be a little too deep for the Gaels in singles play, with four of their six players ranked in the ITA top-100. The Trojans earned victories on courts one, six, three and four to capture the team win.
No. 68 Jullien put up a tough fight on court two against No. 42 Danielle Lao. After Lao won set one, Jullien stormed back to take the second set, 6-3. In the tiebreaker, Lao barely edged Jullien 10-8 to earn the three-set win.
The Gaels will return to action on Sunday, February 12 when they host Fresno State in the first home match of the spring. The match is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at the Tim Korth Tennis Complex.
