MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's softball team will have to wait one more day to open conference play, as the Pacific Coast Softball Conference opener against Sacramento State has been rained out. The Gaels and Hornets were scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m., but rain in the Bay Area has caused the cancellation of more SMC athletic events.

Saint Mary's and Sacramento State will now play three games on Sunday, April 1, with the first game of the day beginning at 11 a.m. from Cottrell Field.

SMC enters the conference opener with an 11-16 overall record and a 6-3 mark at home this season. Sacramento State is 17-10 this season and has gone 5-4 on the road. The Gaels are 9-55 all-time against the Hornets, while the two teams split the four-game series last season in Sacramento.

Live stats will be available for all three games on Sunday, and fans can also get in-game updates by following the Gaels on Twitter @SMCGaels.
