TOWSON, Md. – Despite the largest advance registration in the history of the program, a few spots still remain for the “Football 101” Clinic for Women on Thursday, July 26 at Johnny Unitas® Stadium and adjacent Field House.

In conjunction with the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, the Tiger football program will host the event for the third year in a row.

The clinic provides a great opportunity for women to increase their knowledge of football, learn the rules of the game, run through some drills, mingle with the Tiger football staff and have some fun.

The Football 101 Clinic will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Towson University campus.

Women should report to the Minnegan Room in the Field House adjacent to Johnny Unitas® Stadium for check-in starting at 7 p.m.

During the first two years, the Football 101 Clinic for Women was well-received. Attendance has grown drastically in the first two years and a larger number of women are expected to participate this year.

The Football 101 Clinic includes light food, wine and a T-shirt. Each participant will also receive two (2) tickets to any one of the Tiger football team’s home football schedule.

Another popular feature of the Football Clinic 101 is the opportunity for participants to return to campus and sit in on the team meetings and observe a full-scale practice with the coaches and players on Saturday, August 18.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame and its community outreach programs.

The mission of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame is to promote and develop the power of amateur football by developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and the drive for academic excellence in America’s young people.

Participants are asked to wear casual clothing for light field-level activities.

Free parking for this event will be available in Lot 19 nearby the Tiger Soccer Complex.

Registration is $30 for the general public or $25 for Towson football season ticketholders, faculty/staff and students. To register for the event, call the Towson Athletics Ticket Office at 1-855-TU-TIGER.
