TOWSON, Md. – Following its 8-7 win over James Madison in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship game, the CAA Champion Towson University women’s lacrosse team will host Northeast Conference champion Monmouth University on Saturday, May 5 in an NCAA Play-In game on Minnegan Field at Johnny Unitas® Stadium.

First draw between the Tigers and the Hawks will take place at 7 p.m.

Tickets to Saturday’s game will be $5 for adults, $3 for youth (ages 2-12) and $2 for students from each institution. For tickets to the game please call 1-855-TU-TIGER or go online to Towsontigers.com.

Parking will be free for all fans in lots 13 and 14 for the game. Fans will be permitted to tailgate in lots 13 and 14 three hours prior to the start of the game.

Towson (15-3) won its fourth CAA title since 2005 with the victory on Sunday. While beating the two-time defending champion JMU, the Tigers were led by the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, senior goalkeeper Mary Teeters. Teeters made seven saves in the game, including a few crucial ones in the game’s closing minutes.

Monmouth (9-10) captured the NEC title with an 11-3 victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. The Hawks were led by goalkeeper Katie Donohoe, who was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after posting 11 saves.

Towson enters Saturday night’s game with a nine-game winning streak.

The winner of Saturday’s contest will advance to the NCAA Tournament and find out their next opponent during the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday evening at 9 p.m.
