TOWSON, Md. – After setting the school record for most points in a three-meter dive Saturday, sophomore Alex Cohen was named the Colonial Athletic Association’s Men’s Diver of the Week, it has been announced.

Cohen came in second-place in the three-meter event at the Delaware Diving Invitational Feb. 4 with 318.45 points, breaking a record set in 1983 of 309.90 points by John Sills.

It was the second record the sophomore has broken this season, as he set the one-meter record with 298.20 points on Oct. 22 against Georgetown.

Saturday, Cohen finished the one-meter event in second place with a score of 293.10.

“We’re fine-tuning things right now,” Diving Coach Maureen Mead said. “There is room for Alex to grow and we’re excited about what we can do in the future.”

Towson will travel to the CAA Championships Feb. 22-25.
