As a Senior (2013): An Academic All-ACC selection ... received the inaugural Dexter McDougle Ultimate Team Player Award at the team banquet for his leadership following injury ... suffered a season-ending injury at UConn (9/14) and missed the final nine games of the season ... opened the season against FIU (8/31) with an interception ... led the team in solo tackles (7) and had two interceptions against Connecticut (9/14), one of which was returned 49 yards for a touchdown ... earned ACC Defensive Back of the Week honors for his performance against the Huskies.

As a Sophomore (2011): Started all 12 games at cornerback … an Academic All-ACC selection … led the team with six pass breakups and tied for the team lead with three interceptions … tied for eighth in the ACC and t-70th nationally in picks (0.25 pg), and t-15th in the conference in pass breakups (0.75 pg) … made five tackles in the season opener against Miami (9/5) … made his first career interception against West Virginia (9/17) and tallied three tackles … recorded three stops against Temple (9/24) … made four tackles against Towson (10/1) … turned in a solid performance against Georgia Tech (10/8) with three unassisted tackles, an interception and a pass breakup … recorded five tackles and an assisted tackle for loss against Clemson (10/15) … had four tackles and an interception against Florida State (10/22) … recorded four tackles and forced a fumble against Boston College (10/29) … made four tackles, including a tackle for loss, and made a pass breakup against Virginia (11/5) … matched career highs with two pass breakups and one tackle for loss against Notre Dame (11/12) … scooped up a fumble and returned it 66 yards for the opening score against NC State (11/26) … also matched career highs with four solo stops and two pass breakups.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2010): Played in 11 games and finished with 22 tackles … recorded a career-high six tackles in his Maryland debut against Navy (9/6) … also returned two kicks for 26 yards vs. Navy … made five stops, including a career-best four solo stops, against West Virginia (9/18) … had a couple of stops vs. FIU (9/25) … had one stop and a PBU at Boston College (10/23) … made one tackle and had two PBUs against Wake Forest (10/30) and returned a kick for 29 yards … recorded three tackles at Miami (11/6) and made two kick returns … had a couple of tackles at Virginia (11/13).

As a Freshman (2009): Served a redshirt season … made the travel squad for all five road trips … in the mix for playing time, but was able to hold onto his redshirt.

At Stafford Senior High School: A standout two-way player … played free safety, cornerback, running back and wide receiver for the Indians … rated the 63rd-best safety in the nation according to Scout … rated the 76th-best athlete nationally by Rivals … recorded 97 tackles and six interceptions as a senior in 2008 after missing most of his junior year with an injury … also caught 48 passes for 885 yards and 11 TDs and rushed for 457 yards and nine scores on 76 carries … returned one punt and two kickoffs for TDs last season … named honorable mention All-Met by the Washington Post … also garnered all-area and all-district honors following the 2008 season … missed the majority of his junior season due to injury … also played basketball … clocked at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash … also received interest from South Carolina and Virginia Tech … coached by Chad Lewis.
