Thomas R. Schott '83 - As a three-year letter winner for the Golden Griffin football team, Schott caught 99 passes for a modern College record 1812 yards, an average of 18.3 yards per reception. At the time of his induction, Schott held College records for receiving yards in a game (232 against Brockport State), highest average gain per catch in a single game (29.0 yards per gain against Brockport State (8-232), highest average gain per catch in a single season (19.2 yards in 1982), and longest punt return (61 yards against Buffalo State). Schott was an honorable mention All-American as a junior and was a first team ECAC selection as a senior. A two-year captain and MVP during his junior and senior seasons, Scott was named the College's Student Athlete of the Year in both 1982 and 1983. He was also named first team Academic All-American in 1982 and 1983, which at the time of his induction remained the only Golden Griffin to receive the honor in two consecutive years. He was also the first Canisius student athlete to ever earn a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
