Heather Fiore ’97 – At the time of her graduation, Fiore was the only player in women’s basketball program history to start every game of her career. She made 108 consecutive starts while scoring 1949 points and handing out 586 assists, and averaged 15.7 points as a freshman. Fiore was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s Co-Rookie of the Year, as well as First Team All-Conference for three straight years and Co-Player of the Year as a senior. She was also named to the MAAC 25th anniversary team. Fiore scored more than 30 points in a game five times and on two occasions she posted more than 40 points in a contest. Her top scoring effort brought in 46 points in a live television broadcast against St. Peter’s, when she broke the Griffs’ career scoring mark and set the conference record for points in a game. Fiore ranks among the top five in 33 different statistical categories at Canisius.
