Micheal Meeks ('96) - Began his campaign earning MAAC Rookie of the Year honors...When his career ended in 1996, he went into the record books as the all-time leading Canadian-born scorer in NCAA history with 1,827 points, a mark that was not eclipsed until nine years later...The only Griff in school history to log over 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 150 blocked shots and 100 steals....Named first–team All-MAAC in 1994, 1995 and 1996, and helped lead the Griffs to three-straight postseason appearances, including one in the NIT Final Four in 1995 and one in the NCAA Tournament in 1996...Ranks second on the Canisius career scoring list, third in rebounds, first in blocked shots, third in games played and first in games started...After graduation, Meeks continued his basketball career professionally overseas where he is currently in his 13th season in Europe...He is one of two former basketball Griffs to compete in the Olympics as he played for Team Canada in the Sydney Games in 2000.
