Diane (Nowak) Kent ('88) - A four-year letter winner in tennis, Diane (Nowak) Kent posted a 48-10 career singles record and a 28-3 doubles mark. She went 18-2 in singles and 6-1 in doubles as a freshman in 1984 and followed that with a 12-3 singles mark and 8-1 doubles record as a sophomore. Nowak-Kent was named Second-Team GTE/CoSIDA Academic All American in 1988 and earned GTE/CoSIDA District I Academic All American honors in 1987 and 1988. Diane was also selected as the team’s MVP for several seasons.  She concluded her stellar career by earning a prestigious NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. Kent's father, Griffs basketball star Henry Nowak, was inducted into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame in 1968.
