Raise Your Game Challenge 2016-2017
The Seventh Annual Raise Your Game Athletics Fundraising Challenge has begun for Rider’s Department of Athletics. The 2015-16 challenge generated over $82,000 in support for our Athletic teams. The additional funding has helped our programs significantly and allows them to provide the best equipment, uniforms, and travel accommodations for our players. We hope our former athletes will continue to help us maintain our strong tradition to develop student-athletes that make Rider proud.
Director of Athletics Don Harnum said, “We appreciate the generosity and commitment of our Rider athletic alumni to the challenge, and recognize how important they are to the success of all our teams and the Athletic Department. Their participation and engagement makes a big difference for our student-athletes.”
Participation points in the Raise Your Game Challenge (RYG) are earned by each program based on gifts by former athletes of at least $35. The prize money will be utilized to help each
Program’s operating budget.

What is the Raise Your Game Challenge?
Since 2010, in partnership with Rider's Office of University Advancement, the Department of Athletics has issued an annual challenge to former athletes to participate in a fundraising effort that directly benefits their sport. Each Rider team faces off against each other to determine which team can generate the most participation from its former athletes. Points are earned by each program based on gifts of at least $35. The challenge runs each fiscal year from July 1st-April 30th.
This year $11,500 in prize money will be divided amongst the teams if they reach their program goal, and each team can win additional funds for their team if they finish first, second or third.
