WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Payne McLeod shot a one-under-par 71 in the second round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday to lead UNCW, who is tied with nationally-ranked Liberty for sixth overall at the Country Club of Landfall.

East Carolina (296-282=578) leads the 12-team field by six strokes over second-place Wake Forest (292-292=584). The Pirates carded a second round total of 282 to pass the Demon Deacons after the first round.

South Carolina's Wesley Bryan (68-71=139) finished the first two rounds at five-under to take the medalist lead.

Joining McLeod (74-71=145) in the top 20 for the Seahawks are Thomas Bass (74-74=148) and Stefan Brewer (72-77=149), who are tied for 16th and 19th, respectively.

Freshman Dylan Harris (82-72=154) is tied for 38th while red-shirt freshman Patrick Sawrey (79-83=162) is tied for 57th.

The tournament concludes on Monday with the final round of 18 holes teeing off at 8:42 a.m.
