MELBOURNE, Fla. (March 1, 2012) - After an early lead, 10th-ranked Rollins had to hold off 36th-ranked Florida Tech in singles, pulling out a 5-4 Sunshine State Conference victory Thursday.

The win is Rollins' third in its last four matches and moves it record to 4-3 (3-2 SSC).

Callie Whitlock and Elissa DeCampli earned a hard fought win in the No. 2 doubles match, downing Abigail Greif and Abbey Keister 9-8(1). Ashley Rosenberg and Mariana Salvador defeated Stephanie Dohner and Monica Price 8-2 at No. 3 to give Rollins an early advantage.

As has been the case all season, Rollins used strong play in the four, five and six singles matches to seal up the win.

Salvador downed Dohner 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 match while DeCampli took Keister 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5. Sara Stosljevic won 6-2, 6-2 over Price in the No. 6 match.

Rollins will be back in action March 4-7 in its annual spring break trip to Texas. The Tars start with a March 4 match-up against Abilene Christian.
