WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 6, 2012)- The Rollins women's lacrosse team put another tally in the win column over Queens, Friday afternoon, 21-6. The Tars improve to a perfect 13-0 with just three games remaining on the schedule, while Queens falls to 5-8.

The Royals kept it close through the first 15 minutes of action in the first half coming within one goal of tying the game up multiple times. With 12:19 left in the first half Queens drew within one with the score 5-4.

After giving up the fourth goal the Tars went on a 13 goal unanswered streak with four of the goals coming in the late stages of the first half to give the Blue and Gold a five goal cushion heading into the break.

The Tars came out of the break with momentum on their side and rattled off another nine unanswered goals to push the total to 13 unanswered tallies. The Royals answered with 9:40 left in the game when Kristine Kapatos scored on a free position shot to close the lead down to 18-5.

Rollins kept the pressure on for the last eight minutes of the game and netted three more goals, while Queens tallied one of their own to end the game with a 21-6 decision in favor of Rollins.

Offensively the Tars used three goals apiece from Sarah Ann Showell and Erica Pagliarulo to lead the Tars offense. Alley Rhinehart, Sophie Townsend, Mo Imel, Cat Kelley, Tori Snow and Kelly Thayer all notched two markers apiece, while Anna Townsend, Katie Palasz and Ginevra Czech earned one goal apiece.

In 60 minutes of action Elyse De Lisle surrendered six goals and made eight saves to keep the Royals offense at bay.

Rollins will close out its season on the road with a mid-week contest against Florida Southern before heading out west to take on Regis in a pair of games before concluding the regular season.
