Men's Cross Country Climbing in Poll
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's cross country team moved up another spot in the United State Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll this week to No. 4.

The Mocs climbed one spot to fourth, unseating Alabama after beating the Tide at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky., last week. Chattanooga finished 12th in the event that featured 29 teams and 249 runners, ahead of South Region foes Alabama, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kennesaw State, Belmont, East Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky.

Senior Chris Berry (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) led the charge for the Mocs placing 26th overall and was followed by sophomore Lucas Cotter (Collierville, Tenn.) who finished 29th and less than one second behind.

The Mocs return to action Saturday, October 15 for the Front Runner Invitational hosted by Chattanooga at the Moccasin Bend Race Course. The women's two-mile race is set to start at 3 p.m. followed by the men's 5-kilometer event.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. Results will be available at following the races.
