MOBILE, Ala. - Four of five Warhawks sit among the top-20 of the field to lead the ULM women's golf team to a tie for fourth place following the first day of the USA Women's Invitational Monday. ULM is just five strokes off the lead entering the final round on the par-72, 6,071 yard Azalea City Golf Club.

Heavy rain and lightning fell in the Mobile area Monday, causing a two-and-a-half hour delay which forced the cancellation of the second round. The contest has been shortened to 36 holes instead of the original 54-hole format.

Lina Lagergren was the low Warhawk for the day, carding a four-over-par 76 to tie for eighth overall. She is just three strokes off the pace of first round leader Caitlin Watts who finished with Monday's best score of 73.

Ali Lucas just missed the top-10 by shooting 77, tying with four other players at 14th overall. Jennifer Park and Ines Fendt are just another stroke behind Lucas with identical rounds of 78 to end the day in a deadlock for 19th.

ULM is in prime position entering the final round Tuesday after shooting a combined 309 to sit five strokes back of fellow Sun Belt Conference member and tournament host South Alabama. Butler and Samford rank second and third overall shooting 306 and 307, respectively, while Jacksonville tied with the Warhawks in fourth.

Kathy Sterling completes the Warhawk lineup in a tie for 40th, ending the round with 81.

The Warhawks complete the final round of the USA Women's Invitational Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
