SCOUTING BOISE STATE: The Broncos are 18-10 going into the tournament and are on a four-game winning streak. They've played seven games versus ranked opponents this season, going 0-7, including No. 3/3 Washington, who the Redhawks have also competed against this season. Most recently, they went 3-0 as the host team of the SpringHill Suites Invitational #1 last weekend, before their final three games were cancelled due to rain. Tara Glover leads the team with a .448 average, and is the only player on the roster to have started and appeared in all 28 games so far this season. She has recorded 22 runs on 43 hits, four doubles, three triples, a home run and 10 RBIs. In the circle for Boise State, Aubray Zell leads the team with an 11-6 record and a 1.69 ERA in 18 appearances and 16 starts.

SERIES HISTORY: Seattle U is 1-3 versus Boise State since returning to Division I play. The Redhawks last faced the Broncos on Mar. 5-6, 2011 as part of the Boise State Tournament and fell in both contests, 14-1 in five innings and 8-0 in six innings, respectively. Prior to these games, the two teams split the games on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1, 2009 as part of the Husky Softball Classic at nearby University of Washington. In the first game, Boise State won, 3-2, and in the second, Seattle U had an offensive explosion and came away with a 14-1 victory.

SCOUTING NEW MEXICO: After starting the season on a nine game winning streak, the Lobos (17-6) have now lost their last four games, including two versus Texas Tech on Mar. 12 and one versus in-state rival, New Mexico State, on Mar. 14. New Mexico was supposed to play a three-game series last weekend at Cal State Northridge, but the games were postponed until the beginning of April due to weather. Jessica Garcia leads the team with a .476 average and has scored 22 runs on 39 hits as well as four doubles, one triple, nine home runs, and 35 RBIs. Kari Gutierrez leads the pitching staff with a 3.00 ERA and a 1-1 record in three appearances and one start.

SERIES HISTORY: Seattle U is 3-3 versus the Lobos going into this weekend's contests. The two teams last faced for two days of doubleheaders on Feb. 20-21, 2010. On Mar. 19, 2009, the Redhawks topped New Mexico in both contests of the doubleheader, winning 3-2 in game one, and 14-8 in game two.
