Rosal, Shin Earns CAA Men's Golfer of the Week Honors - April 18
RICHMOND, Va. (April 18, 2012) - Delaware's Nino Rosal and Hofstra's Brandon Shin has garnered CAA Men's Golfers of the Week after a pair of third place finishes in two different tournaments.
Rosal finished tied for third place at the Manor Intercollegiate, which was held at the 7,246-yard, par72 Manor Resort in Farmville, Va. The rookie carded a one over par 72-69-76-217 for the tournament. His second round of 69 was the lowest of his career and the third lowest by a Blue Hen during the season. Rosal led the Blue Hens to a second place team finish, the fourth time in five spring tournaments UD has finished among the top three teams.
Shin placed third and the led Hofstra Pride to a first place team finish at the Lafayette Invitational. The rookie carded 70-76-146 (+2) at the 6,548-yard, par 72 Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro, Pa. Shin led after the first round while shooting 70 in the opening day and then finished just two strokes off the lead. This is Shin's second CAA weekly award this season.
