Made 15 starts in his final season with the Golden Eagles, earning Southland Conference Pitcher of the Year and Perfect Game All-American honors... was the 23rd pick of the 2013 MLB Draft, going to the Texas Rangers in the 1st round... posted a 9-5 record with a 1.83 ERA, the 10th-best single-season mark in program history... threw 113.1 innings and struck out 126 batters, the third-highest single-season total in ORU history... held opponents to a .206 batting average... led the Southland Conference in ERA and strikeouts... finished second in the league in wins, innings pitched and opposing batting average... struck out double-digit batters on five occasions... earned his first win on March 2 against Southeast Missouri, allowing just one run with nine strikeouts in seven innings... beat Central Arkansas for his second win, allowing one run with eight strikeouts in eight innings on March 22... tossed a complete game on March 28 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, earning the win after striking out eight and allowing just two runs... picked up the win over Southeastern Louisiana on April 12, allowing just one run with nine strikeouts in seven innings... knocked off Sam Houston State on April 19, allowing one earned run in eight innings, with eight strikeouts... threw seven innings with 12 strikeouts, only allowing one run in a win over Nicholls State on April 27... pitched eight scoreless innings for a win against Lamar on May 3... threw a complete game against McNeese State on May 10, with 11 strikeouts... struck out 13 batters in eight scoreless innings to earn the win at Northwestern State on May 16... won his final start as a Golden Eagle, a Southland Conference Tournament victory over Stephen F. 2010 graduate of Boca Raton Community HS in Boca Raton, Fla... drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round of the 2011 MLB amateur draft... helped lead Boca Raton to a district championship as a junior with a 4-3 record and a 1.43 ERA in 54 innings... went 4-6 in 2010 with a 2.48 ERA and 69 strikeouts, tossing eight complete games in 14 starts... named 2nd team team all-area and 1st team all-conference as a senior... played for the Florida Legends in the summer of 2010, helping lead the team to an appearance in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M... overall, he was 8-2 with a 0.87 ERA with the Legends, allowing just 26 hits and striking out 74 batters in 56.1 innings.
